MALAWI NEW ARTS ORGANIZATION SET TO REVIVE MUSIC AND CULTURE

 In a bid to promote and preserve Malawi's rich cultural heritage, a new organization, the Centre for Arts Education and Development (Caed), has been launched.

Caed's director, Joseph Chiwaula, says the organization aims to support local artists, develop arts programs, and provide education initiatives that celebrate Malawi's unique culture.

The launch of Caed comes at a time when Malawi's cultural heritage is facing numerous challenges, including a lack of support for local artists and limited opportunities for cultural exchange.

Chiwaula notes that Caed's mission aligns with the government's Cultural Policy of 2015, which seeks to promote and preserve Malawi's cultural heritage.Centre for arts education and development

With backing from the government and organizations like Ngora and Congoma, Caed is poised to make a significant impact on Malawi's arts and culture scene.
