MALAWI ARTIST HEAD TO INDIA FOR INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

A group of 12 Malawian artists has traveled to India to participate in the Surajkund International Crafts Festival. The festival starts on February 1 and ends on February 23.

The group includes members of the Malawi National Dance Troupe, who will perform traditional Malawian dances. Other artists, such as Angelicious Designs from Lilongwe and Elyn's Baskets, will showcase Malawian crafts.

"We are very excited," said James Thole, who is part of the group. "Last year, the festival attracted 1.3 million people and 45 countries, with 592 exhibitors, including Malawi."

The festival is a great opportunity for Malawian artists to showcase their talents and sell their crafts to a global audience.
